At McLachlan/Dawson Opticians, the health and well-being of our patients and staff members is our main priority.
In response the Coronavirus/Covid-19 pandemic, we would like to reassure our patients that we are following government and professional guidelines with regard to minimising the risks of infection.
We will continue to follow a rigorous hygiene routine, but will also implement extra precautionary measures.
This includes:-
- Strict cleaning regimes in the test room after every patient is seen.
- Regular cleaning of commonly touched areas such as door handles card machines pens, etc.
- Frames will be cleaned with sanitiser after being tried on.
- Access to regular hand cleaning with sanitiser for staff and patients.
Following government guidance, we are asking people with flu like symptoms, coughs, high temperatures or shortness of breath to avoid entering the practice. In these cases we are happy to reschedule.
In going forward we shall follow clinical and NHS advice and will keep our patients and staff informed should any further developments arise.
